The third annual radio-telethon scores big thanks to generous fans
Organizers of the third annual Radio-Telethon for the Montreal Canadiens Children’s Foundation have all the reasons to be pleased with the results of last week’s event. Thanks to the generosity of Canadiens fans and the help of team broadcasters RDS, 98,5 FM and TSN radio 990, $80,000 was raised.
The special fundraising event was organized with the support of partners Activis, Bell and Desjardins. The popularity of the Radio-Telethon and its outstanding results are a testament to the participation of an army of volunteers, including spouses of Canadiens players and team Alumni along with an array of collaborators who graciously donated their time and expertise.
“As we saw during this third annual Radio-Telethon, Canadiens fans once again stepped up to the plate in support of our cause, showing their big-heartedness and allowing us to raise funds so we can continue our mission,” said Geoff Molson, president and CEO of the Montreal Canadiens.
