Canadiens fans once again show their great generosity

THE SECOND ANNUAL MONTREAL CANADIENS
CHILDREN’S FOUNDATION RADIO-TELETHON RAISES $105,000

Organizers of the second annual Radio-Telethon for the Montreal Canadiens Children’s Foundation are hailing the event a resounding success, thanks to the implication of team broadcasters RDS, CKAC and CJAD, and, most importantly, the tremendous generosity of Canadiens fans, who rallied together
to raise $105,000, thus surpassing last year’s numbers.

The fundraising event, held March 17th during the Canadiens-Lightning game, was organized with the support of partners Activis, Bell and Desjardins. The popularity of the Radio-Telethon and its excellent results are also a testament to the participation of an army of volunteers, including spouses of Canadiens players, as well as Habs Alumni and several collaborators who donated their time and expertise.

“As we saw during this second annual Radio-Telethon, Canadiens fans once again came out in large number to support our cause, and they showed their big-heartedness, allowing us to exceed the results obtained during our inaugural event last year,” said Pierre Boivin, president of the Foundation’s Board of Directors.
