Rio Tinto Alcan donates $310,000 to the Montreal Canadiens Children’s Foundation

On March 28, the 4th edition of the Rio Tinto Alcan Benefit Event for the Montreal Canadiens Children’s Foundation was held. This year’s the much-awaited event featured the talented dancing company Best of Broadway with a stellar performance at The Citadelle, next to Rio Tinto Alcan’s World Headquarters. Celebrities on hand to enjoy the performance along with several members of the Montreal business community were the Canadiens’ Jeff Halpern, Perry Pearn, Alexandre Picard, Yannick Weber, Pierre Boivin, Yvan Cournoyer, Gaston Gingras, Réjean Houle, Yvon Lambert and Henri Richard.

This year, Rio Tinto Alcan’s initiative raised $310,000 bringing the company’s four-year contribution to the Foundation to a total of $865,000.

Mrs. Jacynthe Côté, CEO of Rio Tinto Alcan presented Pierre Boivin, President of the Montreal Canadiens Children’s Foundation with the cheque.
