  1. CONTEST RULES

    Support our Youth in Playoffs contest is organized by the Montreal Canadiens Children’s Foundation (hereinafter: “contest organizers”. It is scheduled to be held in Canada from April 18th to May 1st, 2013 at noon (hereinafter: “contest period”).

  2. ELIGIBILITY

    This contest is open to all residents of Canada with the exception of employees, agents and representatives of the Montreal Canadiens Children’s Foundation, the Montreal Canadiens Hockey Club, evenko and Zipgive-Zipstripe and their affiliates, advertising and promotional agencies, partners, participating retailers, prize, product and service suppliers in any way related or associated with the aforementioned contest or any other person directly involved in this contest, their families, legal spouse or any other person related in any way residing with those employees, representatives and agents.

  3. HOW TO PARTICIPATE

    Individuals who wish to participate in the contest can do so by texting GOHABS at 75353 on their mobile phone. Then they will receive the following message:

  4. PRIZE

    The following prize has a total value of $542:

    • One (1) pair of tickets in the Desjardins Club Seats for the Game 2 - Series #1 of the Montreal Canadiens game at the Bell Centre.
  5. DRAW
  6. The draw will take place at 12:00 p.m. on May 1st, 2013 on the premises of Zipgive-Zipstripe on behalf of the Montreal Canadiens Children’s Foundation. The chances for a participant to win are proportionate to the number of entries.
  7. HOW TO CLAIM YOUR PRIZE

    To be declared a winner, the individual must:

    • Be a Canadian resident;
    • Be 18 years or older; be reached by e-mail by the organizers of the contest to receive and the Responsibility Waiver Form;
    • Sign the Responsibility Waiver Form and the contest rules before returning all documents to the contest organizers;
    • Call the phone number provided by text messaging to claim the prize;
    • Accept that the prize will be given on site at the Bell Centre the day of the event.

    Failure to meet one of the aforementioned conditions or any other condition provided for in the rules, the entry for the selected individual will be canceled and another draw for the prize will be made in accordance with the rules until a winner has been selected.

  8. GENERAL CONDITIONS

    1. Non-conformity. The contest organizers reserve the right to disqualify any participant or to cancel the entry form of any individual participating or attempting to participate in this contest fraudulently or dishonestly towards other participants (i.e. by using entry forms from an unauthorized source or being over the limited number of participants permitted etc.) That person may be subject to judicial inquiry and/or for further investigation.
    2. Accepting the prize. Each prize is to be accepted as described in the rules and regulations of this contest and cannot be transferred, substituted for another prize or be exchanged in whole or in part for any amount of money as described in the paragraph below.
    3. Prize substitution. In the event of and for reasons unrelated to the winners, the contest organizers cannot award a prize (or any part of it), as described in the current rules, and reserve the right to award a prize (or any part of it) of similar nature and value, to their discretion, and the money value of the prize (or part of it) indicated in the rules.
    4. Refusal to accept a prize. Refusal by a randomly selected winner to accept a prize according to the conditions of the rules as described herein clear the contest organizers of any obligation towards that person with regards to the prize.
    5. Limited liability – usage of the prize. Any person selected as a prize winner waives any and all liability against the Montreal Canadiens Children’s Foundation, the Club de hockey Canadien Inc., evenko and Zipgive-Zipstripe, the affiliates, advertising and promotional agencies, their employees, agents and representatives of any liability for damages it could encounter by accepting and/or using her/his prize. In order to be declared a winner and prior to receiving her/his prize, the person whose name was selected randomly commits to sign, if required, a waiver form to that effect. The person invited along will also be required to sign the waiver form otherwise he/she will not be able to enjoy the winning prize.
    6. Responsibility of the suppliers – Any person selected at random as a prize winner recognizes that upon receiving a letter that confirms her/his prize, the fulfilment of the services linked to the prize become the exclusive responsibility of the prize winner.
    7. Limited liability – contest operation. The Montreal Canadiens Children’s Foundation, the Club de hockey Canadien Inc., evenko and Zipgive-Zipstripe, the affiliates, advertising and promotional agencies, their employees, agents and representatives decline any liability for any flaw or shortcoming in the computer component, software or communication regarding a faulty or incomplete transmission, or incomprehensible, deleted by any computer or a network that would result in limiting or preventing the possibility for an individual to participate in the contest. The Montreal Canadiens Children’s Foundation, the Club de hockey Canadien Inc., evenko and Zipgive-Zipstripe the affiliates, advertising and promotional agencies, their employees, agents and representatives decline any responsibility for any damage, loss that would result directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, for the downloading of any internet page, any software or any form and for the transmission of any data or information with regards to participating in the contest.
    8. Modification. The contest organizers reserve the right to and at their entire discretion, cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest described herein, in whole or in part, if there was any occurrence of an error or any human involvement that could in any way, shape or form alter or impact the administration, security, impartiality of the contest as prescribed in the rules herein and, subject the approval of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec, if in any way warranted. In all cases, the organizers of the contest, their affiliates, advertising and promotional agencies, product and service suppliers as well as their employees, agents and representatives cannot be responsible to allocate more prizes than those indicated in the rules herein or to allocate prizes other than it is indicated in the rules herein.
    9. Impossibility of carrying out the contest – industrial dispute. The Montreal Canadiens Children’s Foundation, the Club de hockey Canadien Inc., evenko and Activis Technologies Inc., the affiliates, advertising and promotional agencies, their employees, agents and representatives decline any liability of any kind should an impossibility to carry out the contest arise or should there be a situation out of their control or as a result of a lock out or industrial dispute on their own premises or on the work premises of the organizations or companies involved in this contest.
    10. Limited liability – participation. In taking part or attempting to take part in the contest described herein, each participant agrees to waive any and all liability against the contest organizers, their affiliates, advertising and promotional agencies, their employees, agents and representatives of any liability for damages it could encounter for his/her participation or attempting to participate.
    11. Authorization. In taking part in the contest described herein, each prize winner authorizes the organizers of the contest, their partners and representatives to use, if required, their name, first name, photograph, image, testimony with regards to the prize, home address and/or audio (voice) without being awarded any form of remuneration and, to their discretion, for any length of time, in any medium nationally and internationally, for advertising purposes or any other purpose deemed appropriate.
    12. Communication with the participants. There shall be no communication of any form or written exchange with the participants throughout this contest with the exception of the randomly selected prize winners.
    13. Decisions of the contest organizers. Any decision made by the contest organizers or their representatives with regards to the contest as described herein is final and without appeal, subject to any decision of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec for any matter under its competence.
    14. Disagreement. Any disagreement with regards to organization or the management of a promotional contest must be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec for a decision. A disagreement with regards to the awarding of the prizes must be submitted to the Régie with the only purpose of trying to find a settlement.
    15. Identification of the participant. For the purposes of the rules herein, the participant is considered to be the person whose name appears on the entry form and it is that person, or a parent or the tutor of the latter, who will be awarded the prize if she/he is selected a winner.
    16. Language. In case of discrepancy between the French and the English version of the rules herein, the French version will have precedence.
